1107 ODER~SO | Oder River Disaster 2022 | Data | SP4: Sentinel-2 processed datacube [TEMPORARY]

Title
ODER~SO | Oder River Disaster 2022 | Data | SP4: Sentinel-2 processed datacube [TEMPORARY]
Period
2016-03-01 till 2026-07-31
Period length
10 years 4 months 30 days
Sampling interval
3 days Irregular Interval
Note on interval
Temporal gaps between March and October may occur due to cloud cover, data quality filtering, and satellite revisit frequency. Winter months (November-February) are not processed due to low solar illumination conditions
Description

[to be filled once it is defined where the datacube will be hosted and/or archived]

Datacube in a (Zarr) format along the Oder River network, including chlorophyll-a concentrations (ug/L) and turbidity (FNU) at the native Sentinel-2 spatial and temporal resolutions (20m, 2-3 days depending on satellite identity) based on the Case 2 Regional Coast Colour (C2RCC) processing developed by Brockmann Consult GmbH. Only pixels classified as water are included in the datacube, the rest of which are masked. Variables are provided for both high-certainty (q = 1) and low-certainty (q = 3) water classifications, enabling analyses of classification uncertainty and improving the representation of transient water bodies.

Parsing data File

Estimated Time:

Why does it take so much time?

While parsing a file, the database has to perform various tasks, some of them needs a lot of CPU and memory for larger files.

  • preprocessing: means automatic detection of headlines, table body, format values or csv-separators
  • copying: means read the file cell by cell and copy all elements to the database. During this format settings can be calculated (for example iso-time)
  • analyzing: check out for different data types (can be time, numeric or text)
