Description

This taxa checklist for the order "Odonata" was created to serve as part of the taxonomic backbone of the FIPbio Biodiversity Data Portal (fipbio.igb-berlin.de). Odonata taxa with genus, species and subspecies level were derived from the Catalogue of Life Checklist (version 2024-03-08) in GBIF (https://www.gbif.org/dataset/7ddf754f-d193-4cc9-b351-99906754a03b), specifically its "World Odonata List" (https://www.gbif.org/dataset/1873a64d-e5fe-498b-8881-1cab2c39e6f6) constiutent. This data was filtered using the "fipbiochecklist" R package (https://gitlab.igb-berlin.de/oder-so-project/sp2-data-portal/fipbiochecklists). which makes use of the "rgbif" R package functions to query taxon data via the GBIF API and is used to create standardized checklists following the BIMS template structure for upload to the FIPbio Biodiversity Modules' taxon management, References: Bánki, O., Roskov, Y., Döring, M., Ower, G., Hernández Robles, D.
