Title
Novel tool describing anoxia in lakes - manuscript data (oxygen, nutrients) from Lake Arendsee, Stechlin, Delavan and Mendota
Sampling interval
Irregular Interval
Description

In this study we developed a novel metric, anaerobic duration, to describe anoxia in aquatic ecosystems. Anaerobic duration can be used to predict nutrients concentration (NH4+, SRP, TP) and a fluorescent dissolved organic matter (FDOM) component, and likely many reduced compounds such as Fe, Mn, CH4 and H2S. We used dissolved oxygen (DO) data (profiles and loggers), nutrients (NH4+, SRP and TP) and a FDOM component.

Parsing data File

Estimated Time:

Why does it take so much time?

While parsing a file, the database has to perform various tasks, some of them needs a lot of CPU and memory for larger files.

  • preprocessing: means automatic detection of headlines, table body, format values or csv-separators
  • copying: means read the file cell by cell and copy all elements to the database. During this format settings can be calculated (for example iso-time)
  • analyzing: check out for different data types (can be time, numeric or text)
