    Title
    Datenbank Projekt BAGGERSEE 2016-2022
    Sampling interval
    Irregular Interval
    Description

The database is based on a table with general information about the lakes (lake type, morphometric information etc.). At each lake water parameters (e.g. pH value, Total phosphorus etc) were measured at nearly every sampling event. Sampling events comprise several types of fishing events (various types of electrofishing and gillnetting) and sampling events for other biological taxa such as submerged macrophytes, birds, crayfish, amphibians, Macrozoobenthos, shoreline vegetation. Furthermore, deadwood and garbage were sampled at the lakes. For the lakes manipulated in the Project (deadwood addition, shallow zones, fish stocking) additional information about the treatment measures are available is specific tables. Each table contains a description of the columns.

    Parsing data File

    Estimated Time:

Why does it take so much time?

While parsing a file, the database has to perform various tasks, some of them needs a lot of CPU and memory for larger files.

    • preprocessing: means automatic detection of headlines, table body, format values or csv-separators
    • copying: means read the file cell by cell and copy all elements to the database. During this format settings can be calculated (for example iso-time)
    • analyzing: check out for different data types (can be time, numeric or text)
