Description

This data set is related to the manuscript "Simultaneous attenuation of trace organic compounds and organic matter in streams: Comparison of surface water and the hyporheic zone", currently under review at Scientific Reports. For further information, contact Birgit M. Mueller (b.mueller@igb-berlin.de).

Data from a field sampling campaign at two study sites at the "Rechter Randgraben", a side channel of the River Erpe (also called Neuenhagener Mühlenfließ) in September-October 2018.

Upstream site located at: 52.479659 N, 13.635827 E

Downstream site located at: 52.476437 N, 13.625765 E

baro = ambient air

SWup = surface water at upstream site

SWdown = surface water at downstream site

PWdown = pore water ini 25 cm sediment depth at downstream site (three measuring spots 1,2 and 3 with horizontal distance of 2 m along flow direction)

Parsing data File

Estimated Time:

Why does it take so much time?

While parsing a file, the database has to perform various tasks, some of them needs a lot of CPU and memory for larger files.

  • preprocessing: means automatic detection of headlines, table body, format values or csv-separators
  • copying: means read the file cell by cell and copy all elements to the database. During this format settings can be calculated (for example iso-time)
  • analyzing: check out for different data types (can be time, numeric or text)
