532 Müggelsee Station High Frequency insitu

    Title
    Müggelsee Station High Frequency insitu
    Period
    2001-10-31 ongoing
    Sampling interval
    5 mins Irregular Interval
    Note on interval
gaps every hour, and only 1h interval in winter time
    Description

High frequency Multi Parameter Probe measurements in 1.5 m depth.

Since the station creates high frequent measurement data that causes large files, we decided to split the time series in four parts.

Please find in the data Files section the tables for:

    2001 to 2007

    2007 to 2012

    2013 to 2019

    2019 - up to now

Please note that there where no high frequency measurements in winter time under ice coverage.

To fill the winter gaps, please find in the data Files section the file "under ice probe - winter data, interval: 1 h" which has an frequency of one hour.

Please note that before 2013 there where gaps in the high frequency data every hour. In this time the probe has been used to get the profile measurements over several depths.

Please find the profile measurments here:

Die Forschungs- und Messtation "Georg Mothes" wurde 2001 errichtet und liegt ca. 300m vom Nordufer des Sees entfern.
Die Station hat meteorologische und wasserphysikalische Messsystem installiert. Die Seetiefe beträgt an dieser Stelle ca. 5.5m.
Bei Eis wird die Messstation in den Hafen transportiert. In dieser Zeit erfolgen keine Messungen in den hochaufgelösten Intervallen.

    Parsing data File

    Estimated Time:

Why does it take so much time?

While parsing a file, the database has to perform various tasks, some of them needs a lot of CPU and memory for larger files.

    • preprocessing: means automatic detection of headlines, table body, format values or csv-separators
    • copying: means read the file cell by cell and copy all elements to the database. During this format settings can be calculated (for example iso-time)
    • analyzing: check out for different data types (can be time, numeric or text)
