The data associated with this publication comprises 8 drone videos showing ocean predator prey interactions, each about 5 minutes in length, and their respective flight logs. The videos follow baitballs of prey fish under attack by various predators, the blue marlin principal among them. The videos were all filmed in the Pacific ocean, just offshore to the southwest of Baja California Sur, Mexico (roughly 24°00'00.0"N 112°00'00.0"W). All the filming took place on either November 12th or 13th, 2021, and all within the local hours of roughly 9h to 15h. In addition to the Mexico videos is another drone video showing placed markers on the ground, recorded at IGB, used to measure the ground truth marker positions with an RTK measurement tool.
