  <abstract><![CDATA[Data obtained from a microcosm experiment using freshwater protozoan to investigate effects of disturbance, local resource availability and subsidy flow on community biomass. 

Folder contains 5 data sets, where each data sets is a list of 11 subdata sets, structured as a list in R. 
1. data_area
## ID.1 : Experimental ID of the first patch in meta-ecosystem
## ID.2: Experimental ID of the second patch in meta-ecosystem (when ID.2 is None, we have an isolated ecosystem)
## Seeds: number of seeds in the first patch of meta-ecosystem
## Disturbance: Disturbance intensity, from 0, 50, 70 or 90 (see main text)
## Metaflow: Links to whether there is subsidy flow between the patches
## Neighbour: None (isolated patch), Left patch or Right patch in the meta-ecosystem
## Replicate: Replicate
## Seeds_neighbour: the number of seeds in the second patch of the meta-ecosystem
## Date: date of measuring
## ID.eco: unique identifier for the entire meta-ecosystem
## mean_biomass: average biomass of the community
## log.sum_areas.mean: logarithm of the average biomass of the community

2. data_dens
Same as the data area, but now on the density values (density and log.dens variables)

3. data_diversity 
Same as the data area, but now looking at diversity measures such as Shannons' diversity index (H), the mean Shannon's diversity index (H.mean), richness (richness.mean) and eveness (evenness.mean)

4. data_sizeclass
Data set containing the community structured along the size classes (see main text). 
## sizeclass: number of individuals in that class
## number_sizeclass: Number of the sizeclass (we have 12 in total)
## sizeclass_area: the maximum cell area value to which the sizeclass 
## sizeclass_logarea: the log of the sizeclass_area
## abun_log: log of density in the sizeclass
## ID.eco: unique identifier of the meta-ecosystem
## abun_log.mean: mean of the log density in the sizeclass

5. data_structure_sizeclass
