1 Introduction LimnoScenES
In LimnoScenES we study the impact of climate change on the development of the biodiversity of aquatic
organisms in space and time and the resulting consequences for the quality of lakes as socio-ecological
systems. Developing strategies for preserving biodiversity and ecosystem services (ES), in view of global
and local changes such as heat waves, storms and pollution, are urgently needed. Stakeholder learning
and the development of future scenarios and models are indispensable for developing these strategies.
Overall the project aims to enable water managers to develop adaptive measures against stressors from
climate change, as well as for managing trade-offs among freshwater based ES and biodiversity.
In the data management plan (DPM) we describe the excepted digital output of LimnoScenES. All PI
participated in the development of this version of the DMP.
